Mary was my dearest and lovely friend, cousins first and later friendship. Laughing and joking with a shared sense of humor through junior school, going onto senior school and finding a shared love of soul music and dancing, the excitement of the forbidden clubs, upping our ages to gain admission, two teenagers having fun and enjoying life. Mary was a very kind and caring person, always ready to help. This came through in her working life doing a job that didn’t large recompense but, Mary enjoyed working and looking after elderly people, not an easy job at times, it she liked chatting and listening to what they had to say. As visits and telephone calls to each other became shorter as the illness took it course, Mary’s strength and sense of humor still came through, saying she would be ‘dancing’ somewhere soon. We loved to laugh and that my ‘bestie’ I will miss, along with our chats. I have my lovely memories of you. “Keep on Dancing “ my soulie friend, will always miss you, love you. Pat xxxx
